Myford's work displays an understanding of the historical context and philosophical base which gave us the range of three dimensional abstraction which was from Brancusi to Noguchi. This is not, however, derivative art.
Myford's work has expanded traditional formalist thinking to incorporate much of the phenomenological direction that has affected contemporary art.
